Our Coffee Story
At Galena Roasters we love coffee as much as we love our beautiful little town. Our love affair has grown since launching our roasting business in 2018 above The Grateful Gourmet Co., downtown Galena.
The motivation behind our coffee is simple: uncompromising quality. We are a small batch specialty coffee roasting company aiming to bring people an exceptional coffee experience.
We begin with some of the best green coffees from Central and South America, Africa and Indonesia. We roast our coffee to the ideal profile, developing the complex flavors of each coffee and revealing the delicate tasting notes. The coffees are then cupped in the lab and must meet our standards before reaching our customers. We believe that starting with quality green coffee is essential to creating the roasted coffee we sell—from the source to the final cup. We love what we do and want to share it with you.

Meet the Roaster
I'm a guy with a passion for roasting great coffee. I enjoy every part of the process of roasting coffee, from cupping sample roasts when choosing a new origin to developing and modulating roast profiles for each coffee to working with customers to understand their palates and helping to create a coffee program for their business. I think coffee brings joy to people. It is amazing to see someone light up as they experience new coffees or talk about a delicious coffee they have tasted. My goal is to share that joy and that experience by roasting some pretty
awesome coffee.
